Section 3 - Hazards identification :

Irritating to eyes and skin.

Not classified as flammable but will burn . Toxic to aquatic, organisms , may cause long term adverse effect in the aquatic environment. Has the potential to bioaccumulate.

 

Section 4 - First Aid Measures :-

Eyes : Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water. Holding the eyelids apart, for at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention immediately.
Skin : Remove contaminated clothing. After contact with skin , wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. If symptoms ( irritation or blistering ) occur obtain medical attention.

Ingestion : Provided the patient is conscious, wash out mouth with water and give 200-300 ml (half a pint) of water to drink. Get medical aid. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Inhalation : Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid. Do NOT use mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If breathing has ceased apply artificial respiration using oxygen and a suitable mechanical device such as a bag and a mask.

 

Section 5 - Fire Fighting Measures :-

General Information :- During a fire, irritating and highly toxic and noxious gases generated.
Extinguishing Media :- Use water spray, appropriate foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide to cool fire-exposed containers. DONOT Use a Water jet.
Fire Fighting Protective Equipment :- A self  contained breathing apparatus and suitable protective clothing must be worn in fire condition.

 

Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures :-

Spills / Leaks :-

Adsorb spillages onto sand , earth or any suitable adsorbent material. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal. Do not empty into drains. Wash the spillage area clean. Any spillages or uncontrolled discharge to land or into watercourses must be IMMEDIATELY notified to the appropriate regular body.

 

Section 7 - Storage and Handling :-

Handling :-
Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Use with adequate ventilation. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Do not eat drink or smoke. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

Storage :-
Store in a cool,  well - ventilated area away from heat, oxidizers strong acids and bases. Keep containers properly sealed and in a bounded area when not in use. Store at ambient temperature. Store in mild or stainless steel. Avoid using PVC, natural and synthetic rubbers for storage or pipes etc.

Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166.

Skin :-
Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.

Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin exposure.

Acute toxicity : Oral, mouse : LD50=>2000 mg/kg ; Dermal, rabbit LD50=700 mg/kg
Skin Contact : Middly irrating to skin. Not a sensitiser by Magnusson & Kilgman guinea-pig mximisation test.
Eye Contact : Moderatly irritating to eyes.
Inhalation : High concentrations of vapour may be irritant to the respiratory tract.
Ingeston : Ingestion may cause irritation of the gastrointestinal tract.
Chronic Toxicity : Not considered to be mutagenic hazard. Not know to be associated with carcinogenic effects.
Long Term Toxicity : This product has not been evaluated in long term chronic exposure tests.

High tonnage material used in wholly contained system. Solid with low volatility. The product is essentially insoluble in water and floats. The products has potential for bioaccumulation. The product has low mobility in soil. The product has low mobility in sediment.

May persist in sedimates and soil.

Toxic to fish. Acute fish toxicity=Toxic, l LC50/48h/daphnia=Toxic, l/LC/EC/IC 50 <=10mg/l

Wate Disposal must be by an accredited contractor. Disposal should be in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Incineration is an option. Nominally empty containers must be thoroughly decontaminated before being recycled.
